You’ve booked the shoot, chose the day and location, it’s a big occasion! Now, what do you wear? This can be extremely stressful…. Hopefully this guide will help!

What to Wear:

• Choose a color palette that includes neutrals with 1 or 2 pops of color
• Play with patterns and textures: florals, lace, plaid, etc.
• Vary the types of clothing: jeans, dresses, tights, you know the drill
• Don’t forget to accessorize! The right scarf, bow, jewelry will make an outfit
• Lay everyone’s clothes out before the session – Do they compliment or clash??

What Not to Wear:

• Don’t match too much! The days of white polos and jeans on the beach are gone!
• Don’t wear clothing that is uncomfortable or doesn’t fit properly
• Avoid writing or logos on your tops, it’ll distract from your pretty face!
• Don’t put everyone in vibrant colors and patterns – it’s a pop for a reason
• Better be safe than sorry, especially with children… Bring more than 1 outfit to the session.
