I wanna shoot! What is the booking process?
Get in touch! We start by discussing what you’re looking for, set a date and brainstorm location ideas. Depending on the type of session, there is a $50 deposit to hold your date (weddings it’s a $400 deposit) this amount will be applied to your total. I touch base a few days before the session to confirm all the details, and then we go out and have some fun!
What's the difference between a mini and full session?
A mini is 30 minutes of shooting, and all the edited photos go on an online gallery with a release. I only book minis on weekdays. A full session is 60-75 min of shooting and all the edited photos go on a custom printed USB (with your favorite photo of course!) Full sessions can be booked on weekdays or weekends.
Describe your editing and shooting style:
Candid and true to color! I’m not the photographer that uses presets that turns skin orange, grass blue, or makes every daytime shot look like midnight. Your photos will look REAL!
Shooting wise, we’ll do those classic posed shots but we’re also going to laugh and play to get those (once again) REAL moments 🙂
What do you mean by 'fully edited'?
My style is true to color as described above, but let’s get into specifics – When an image is ‘fully edited’ I have smoothed skin, removed blemishes, whitened teeth and cleaned up the background (when needed).
What is your turn around time?
For a portrait session I post sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram within a week (with your permission of course). If you have a session that includes the custom printed USB, you’ll let me know your favorite sneak peek so it can be the photo on the jump drive. Usually the USB arrives around the time that editing is finished, which takes 2-3 weeks. Overall the process takes a month or so.
For weddings it’s a 6-8 week turn around time to get all those beautiful photos edited!
How many photos can I expect?
Mini sessions – 50-75
Full sessions – 75-150
Weddings 400-900
What can I do with my images?
After you get your photos back (we hope you love them!!) you’ll also receive a print release. This allows you to post and print freely! I do ask that when you post on social media that you tag my business page please 🙂
What you can’t do with your images is enter them into a contest without permission, sell them, or pass them off as someone else’s work.

What happens to my deposit?
For a portrait session there is a $50 deposit, for a wedding it’s a $400 deposit. This deposit goes towards your final balance. This deposit is non refundable, but is transferrable. Let’s say you have to cancel your session, that $50 can go towards the reschedule of the new session. If your wedding is canceled (let’s hope that never happens!) then the $400 can go towards a different type of session.
Do I need to confirm my session?
Yes!!! I will reach out to confirm details 1 week to a few days before the session. If I don’t hear back from you, I won’t show up… One too many times I’ve been stood up, and that’s never fun!
If you are the person that no-calls no-shows after confirming your session you will lose your deposit and will not be allowed to reschedule – ain’t nobody got time for that!
What happens if it rains during my session time?
We’ll reschedule of course (I just love the outdoors and I’m willing to wait for the perfect weather)! If that’s not an option, I do have the studio and other indoor locations we can use.
Do you travel?
Oh yeah we do! So far Erin has shot weddings in Ireland, Hawaii, and Grand Cayman! Plus, she travels all over the US for sessions! If you want to meet at a National Park, explore a redwood forest, shoot a boudoir in a waterfall, or get married on the coast, just say the word!
Are there travel fees?
Any location within an hour of Springfield MO there isn’t a fee (Let’s face it, I’m in Branson and surrounding areas basically every week.) For any location past that, it’s a $50/hour driving fee. When it’s a location we’ll have to fly to, we’ll create a custom quote for the travel that includes flights and accommodations.
Are there any other fees?
We are very upfront and honest about pricing – there’s never a hidden fee! When you’re booking we will decide on a package and location, and I’ll be able to give you a total cost at that time. If you’d like to order prints or products, we’ll figure a total at that time.
